Welcome to the new website of the

Resurrection of the Lord Chinese-Filipino Catholic Community,                                                                       Resurrection of the Lord Chinese-Filipino Catholic Community,                                                                         Resurrection of the Lord Chinese-Filipino Catholic Community,

we are glad you came to visit!

Our growing community began in 1997, as the Chinese-Filipino (Tsinoy) families of Iligan, Lanao del Norte, felt the need to worship as a family and address issues that touched their everyday lives.  Indeed, the Bishops of the Philippines strongly encourage Chinese ethnic parishes as communities where Tsinoys can find a spiritual home that will help them be truly rooted in the Gospel without losing their cultural and linguistic identity.

Our Vision and Mission Statement reads:

One Family, One Community, One Faith

To have a Chinese-Filipino Community of Christ’s disciples united in their Christian faith and living the Gospel values that are centered in the family as a truly domestic church, participating in the church’s mission while celebrating and integrating our cultural heritage.

What a wonderful journey the Lord has led us on!  After nearly two years of fundraising, we purchased land, and on May 13, 2001, our then-bishop, Most Rev. Emilio L. Bataclan, D.D., turned the first shovel at the groundbreaking.  Actual construction began April 15th the following year.  Finally, regularly scheduled services began Palm Sunday 2003.  On June 13, 2004, the church building was solemnly dedicated and we became a parish family!

Among our many organizations, we have the Community Pastoral Council, our Catechism Program, the Adult and the Youth Choirs, The FCCY (Filipino-Chinese Catholic Youth), The Singles, The Resurrection Lion Dancers, the RRLCFCC Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors, and the Community Foundation.  Our Eucharists are celebrations sung in Mandarin, Fookien, Visayan, Tagalog and English.  Wait!  Instead of words, let us share with you our parish life through the pictures on the following pages…And may God bless you!
